Example tagging result

Tag actions add, remove, replace or generate Finder tags. Combine actions in a workflow and apply them automatically to files that match your rules.

01

Apply several tags at once.

Add project, category and review tags in one workflow. Keep existing folders and file names.

02

Generate tags from file details.

Create tags from a file’s name, dates, containing folder or folder path. Set colors, prefixes and suffixes once instead of typing them for each file.

03

Keep tag names consistent.

Remove or replace tags in a workflow. Use Manage Tags to rename or merge tags and check where they are used.

FAQ

Common questions.

Contact support
Are these native Finder tags?

Yes. Tags remain available in Finder and compatible Mac apps.

Will my files move or get renamed?

No. Tag actions change Finder tags. They do not move files, rename them or change their contents.

Will adding a tag remove existing tags?

No. Add Tags keeps existing tags. Remove and replace actions make the changes you configure, so preview them before running.

Can it tag an invoice by the date printed on it?

Date tags use file dates, such as creation or modification date. They do not read dates printed inside documents.
